Chris Gates, executive director, Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement (PACE) has this to say about the intersection of the presidential campaigns and tonight's forum: "A lot of people feel that both campaigns have been spiraling down recently. This event might be the thing that breaks the cycle. Hopefully we will be able to have a civil conversation...I hope that many people will come to see this as the moment that the campaign came back to being about the issues."
