One of the opportunities that Obama and the interviewers missed is that a central reason why ROTC is not accepted at Columbia U and many other campuses is that ROTC is a discriminatory organization. The U.S. Military discriminates against GLBT people. Therefore, ROTC is not allowed on many campuses. This is not just a matter of personal animus.
